With the advent of winter and the season of sharing, the Friday Forum of Marion County once again invites the general public to learn what  our  community of compassion is doing to address  the needs and concerns of the least among us when the monthly   speaker/ luncheon next  takes place   at 11:30 a.m. December 9 at the Golden Corral, 2111 SW State Road 200, in Ocala.
Panelists heavily engaged in issues concerning  the homeless among us  include Karen Hill, executive director, Marion County Homeless Council; Suzanne McGuire, homeless children liaison for Marion County Public Schools; Rev. Edwin Quintana, president, Inter-America's Chaplains Association; and Dennis Yonce, social services liaison for the City of Ocala.  Mr. Bobbie Goyco, lead specialist for Support Services for Veterans Families at the Ritz, will speak on behalf of homeless veterans replacing Jeffrey Askew.
